Moon Festival Preparations on the way outside the Senate House Library at Soas.

I love how all embracing London is of world cultures and how normal it has become to "know" what is the next celebration in the calendar.

I once listened to a lecture by Alain de Boton on his book Religion for Atheists in which he discussed the value and benefit of cultural rituals and how they can help build a sense of community.

London is an example of it. A place where the acknowledgement and open embrace of many cultures has enriched us all.

I hope this continues to be the case no matter what the political future might bring.
