The art and science of lifewear, new form follows function

Now something I feel obliged to mention.... As part of the London Design Festival  programme, Uniqlo announced an exhibition titled "the art and science of lifewear, new form follows function"

With that title, it was not unreasonable to expect some science but unfortunately, and this is my personal opinion, there wasn't much science to explore in this pentagram design display .

Furthermore, although there are -of course- insta friendly staged locations (refer to the images) I found the so called -by Head of Digital marketing Europe Ben Cook- "nod to" Kusaka Yayoi's infinity rooms... a rather disrespectful appropriation.

This marketing exercise making the most of several overlaid events in the creative program of London's autumn feels rather opportunistic and disappointing.

With this out of the way, visiting somerset house where it is located, is always a pleasure.
