Research showed us that Kurume Taiho's is a highly regarded ramen restaurant. So much so that we travelled to Kurume , specifically to taste it... And I am not even joking .For any ramen fanatic out there, Kurume Taiho is definitely worth visiting. They have many branches -i have since discovered- but this is the hub.
The ramen is prepared with a lot of care by the largest team I have ever seen in a ramen kitchen. Furthermore, the kitchen has a lot of women ... again, unique in my experience.
We arrived at 12 and there was already a queue of around 15 but we got in quite quickly and sat at the counter.
I ordered a mini because truth to be told I find hot noodle soups challenging to eat as the broth is always too hot... but despite my prejudices, I was very impressed.
The broth was deep and had the right balance of fat and salt . The ingredients were clearly fresh and the meat very good. The gyoza was also really delicious.
