Toyota Municipal Museum of Art

As I mentioned on the previous post, the landscaping around the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art was designed by Peter Walker, an American Landscape Designer.

The design features geometric and irregular shapes across two distinctive levels . The patterns occur on the grass, the gravel, the pond and its surroundings.

The museum occupies the site of the former Shichishu-jo Castle, from the Koromo Domain, and there is even an area where one of the corner turrets has been recreated.
