Ismaili centre

If you have ever walked from the South Kensington station to any of the museums you must have seen this beautifully detailed building .⠀

It is called the Ismaili centre in London and was designed by the architects Casson Conder Partnership between 1979 and 1985.⠀

Its beautifully executed details make me stop and admire every time.⠀

A couple of weeks ago, when visiting one of our latest new projects ,the light was simply beautiful and I had to stop and photograph it.⠀

Having researched a little bit I can appreciate the challenge it must have been to develop a design which sits comfortably within its historical context while remaining true to its Islamic heritage.⠀
