Branded The Old Dairy by developer Golden stone, another interesting development i came across a few weeks ago is at the heart of Bloomsbury, occupying the site where an old dairy depo used to be.⠀
⠀
We discovered this site a few years back when the original building had just been refurbished by Frank Cohen and Nicolai Frahm to display a wonderful private collection. It was an ambitious idea to share their personal collections with anyone interested in visiting and we thoroughly enjoyed it for as long as it lasted...⠀
⠀
From the start we heard the gallery would be temporary (through an open house visit) and that this project was already in the pipeline but i was not sure what was to become of it or when.⠀
⠀
Now, near completion... It is an interesting mixed use proposal which makes the most of its ever sunny location thanks to the adjacent burial grounds.⠀
⠀
Designed by the now disappeared S333 studio, it was awarded planning in 2012 ... but has since being moved forward (as far as my research can tell) by Stanhope Gate Architecture Ltd and LTS Architects.⠀
⠀
Worth having a look if you happen to be around.⠀
