Kusama Yayoi

I noticed Kusama Yayoi's Infinity Rooms at the Tate Modern have sold out and hence I thought I should share the pictures I took in July...

I also want to let you know that @uniqlo_uk are giving away some tickets (deadline tomorrow 14th od October 2021) ... Go to their IG and check the picture with the @tate modern on it for details.

Back to my post, for anyone who has never seen these, infinity rooms and pumpkins are some of the artist's better known works and ,as it often happens, have been used for inspiration in all sorts. (come to think of it, Uniqlo used them as inspiration when they did an exhibition at Somerset House back in 2019...)

I personally love how by using kaleidoscopic rules and a limited range of materials, the artist manages to create truly magical places .

This time around the chandelier was something I had not seen her use in this manner before and the architect in me imagined how beautiful this could look in an interior...

Although the architect in me also reminded me of the challenges this would bring for anyone with reduced visibility outside the space of art
