Aside the fact that this grade 2 listed building is beautiful to look at while waiting for the lights to change, I took this photo from my bike because after cycling pass it regularly on my way to site for a couple of months, IG started showing me adds related to it and wanted to let you know. (I then forgot to mention it when I posted the photo on my stories)
Coincidence? More likely proximity triggered.
My theory is that Strava, the only app I have on when cycling and therefore with access to my location, speaks to IG, even though I don't have them connected...
Of course, the alternative also works... I. E. IG accesses my location history somehow. (should anyone know the answer, pls share in the comments)
In case you wonder, it is essentially a former bank which is now used to store valuables (I. E. High security vaults)... So not the kind of "service" the IG algorithm would point in my direction
