To all of you brilliant engineers out there who shape our cities, towns, landscape and infrastructure, I would like to invite you to share the passion you have for the work you do with the next generation.

Under the title "Building Future London", the Inspiring the Future team (who I have volunteered with since 2013) has partnered with the GLA to organise events in schools in order to provide insight on the roles available within the Built Environment.
The programme will run between June and December and there will be many opportunities to take part.

More about the programme:
The aim is to excite, engage and spark the imagination of young diverse Londoners. ‘Building Future London’ will reach 30 primary schools and 1,800 pupils this year to showcase potential infrastructure and construction careers and spark children’s imagination about London’s built environment.
It is aiming to raise aspirations for underrepresented groups from an early age, it will specifically target Black, ethnic minority, female and special educational needs and disability (SEND) pupils.
Enabled by the Mayor’s London Infrastructure Group and GLA Workforce Integration Network, ‘Building Future London’ aims to welcome diverse talent and build future talent pipeline for green jobs and skills.
