Another brilliant NAWIC LDN&SE business breakfast took place today. thanking Chair Annie Clift and deputy Rosemary Silver host Luciana Tavares MCIM and team, and wonderful speaker Dr. Isabella Allan GAICD for an insightful session on negotiation

My takeaways :

"We are on a tag of war where people don't want to negotiate with us because we don't want to negotiate with ourselves"

Studies. show that when someone asks for a promotion, men and women don't want to work with them

When you say sorry, it triggers the feeling that you are liable. Because of this, you should consider where and when you use it.

Mindset development is important to be able to both lean in and lean out to successful negotiate.

If you don't practice you cannot predict your reactions. Practice even when to lean out to be able to judge when you've gone too far

Rather than seeking confirmation bias, uncondition your bias by seeking signs of small positive affirmations (lean out slightly)
