Or is it? I often ponder about what makes art art. To me, it is about expression and story telling and it is often shaped by the artist's own lived experience. Then you come across something out of place, rubbish in this case, that someone left out and has taken shape as a composition possibly through involuntary actions of passers by. Its out-of-context nature makes it interesting and you catch yourself trying to make sense of it, and (why not?) giving it a title. You notice a telephone both disconnected and not properly hung up. Someone does not want to be contacted or has given up communicating with the person on the other side and you wonder who they may be. Then you notice the boots facing the wall and you imagine the person wearing them, on their own, feeling unheard, frustrated and having given up their attempts to communicate. Can you see it ? Or is it me? (Of course it might just be that one of my neighbours is into the pictures.game "guess the common phrase")
