At Home by Mohammed Z. Rahman

Over the weekend I came across this mural (At Home, was created by London‑based artist Mohammed Z. Rahman in collaboration with the 2025 cohort of Peer Ambassadors ) in Hoxton Street.

The wall seems to be peeled open, six painted rooms revealing the lives behind the brick ... essentially, an apartment block turned inside out.

It felt like the perfect London interpretation of Georges Perec’s Life: A User’s Manual. If you don’t know the book, it peeks into a Parisian building where every room holds a story, a puzzle, a tiny hoard of objects and memories.

Like the novel, the mural suggests that behind every blank façade there’s an archive of projects, treasured moments and half‑forgotten dreams.
