Earlier in the week it snowed in many places across the globe (by the sound of my IG feed).
I was back home doing some last minute errands when I noticed the mountains around us were also beginning to change colour.
Unfortunately , by the time I went up to a level from where I could capture the view fully, rather than glimpses between buildings,, the sun that had highlighted them to be had gone and as watery snow flakes fell over my hat, I had to accept these were the clearest views I would take
I have to admit that snow sets my mind into a conflict between beauty and reality. The beauty of the ephemeral change of our everyday context and the reality of the many who live in conditions that worsen with snow.
I know I am not alone and as an architect , I find it particularly difficult to conceal, I admit.
