Seven Dials Kerb

Last time I visited this place was ,at least eight years ago when some dear friends came to London to visit us and insisted in going to Superdry.

It was an entirely different place called Thomas Neil's Centre and it felt odd , forgotten and mostly used as a shortcut between both sides of the building.

Now kerb food has taken over and brought street food from the edges of zone 1 to the heart of the city, providing a much needed informal dining offer for Londoners in an area which already has some great choices.

I knew that Kerb were working in their first brick and mortar somewhere in the area because last year, at the opening night of our Southbank Centre pop up, our client Zan Kaufman bleecker burger introduced me to Simon Mitchell who mentioned it to me...but had forgotten about it until the signage emerged and social media started buzzing .

This weekend was the opening and I must say that the proposal has potential.

The offer however feels a bit limited and I wonder how Kerb will retain the interest in support of the existing traders -many of which are new in off-steeet food- who have invested and will continue to do so in their vision.

Walking around a few things came to mind but, Kerb are specialised in supporting the growth of their alumini and hence i will sit tight and enjoy the development of this new adventure and any surprises which Kerb must have up their sleeve.

In case you wonder, we tried a very autumnal selection... From truffle london the September special which was delicious ,from strozzapreti pasta their wild rabbit pappardelle and then from rice guys ,trading as yin london here, their hainanese chicken rice which came with two interesting toppings.
