For this discussion I will be joined by the very insightful Sam Munslow from Blue Monkey Coaching, whose work centres on helping individuals and organisations develop more kind, empathic and open methods of communication.
For too long, mental health in construction has been framed as a personal resilience issue. But resilience without wider change reinforces broken systems and we want to explore a different way of doing things.
As women in construction and engineering, many of us have learned to navigate processes not originally designed with our lives in mind. That experience of adapting and improving systems that weren't built for us gives us a unique vantage point to re-imagine a safer, healthier industry.
Sam and I will explore how psychological safety manifests (or doesn't) on projects and beyond, what leadership actually looks like when pressure hits, and where mental health belongs in the commercial side of a project. Not as a bolt-on, but as a foundation.
This conversation will not be just about awareness. It will be about accountability, culture, and systemic design and we have been collaborating to ensure attendees enjoy the session and take home some fantastic insight.
We are both very much looking forward to meeting the finalists and using the WICESummit2026 to move the conversation forward with the help of the talent in the room.
